We are considering very strongly to move to Australia. I would like to make use of such an opportunity to acquire some land (10 to 20 acres)with vineyards close to a city centre.
So I have a couple of questions:
Any suggested areas?
And any web resource where I can look for this type of property that is for sale?
I did a Google search but it came up with one property only.
Where to look for/find smallholdings with vineyards

Listings
Hi,
This can be difficult from afar. Have you a particular region you would be interested in?
The easiest method would be to contact a real estate agent in that area and tell them your requirements. They then on forward any listing or potential listings. It also helps to find a local viticulturalist who can give you an independent evalution on any properties you are interested in.
Also there is one particular company who specialise in vineyards and wineries.
Contact me on PM and I will let you know who they are. You might consider contacting them as well as real estate agents.
Regards,
James Hook

Small holding vineyards
The closer to the city the more you will pay for land. The closest grape growing regions to cities in Australia would generally be Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley in Victoria and Adelaide hills in Sth Australia. All three have a great future outlook in fine wine production.
