Hunter wine tours out of Sydney?

Post by stope19 »

I have a co-worker, who is from England, that has friends/parents in town for a few days. She wants to take them to the Hunter on a day 'wine tour' from Sydney. To complicate matters her father does not drink - so she hopes for a tour that might include more than just wineries (eg: history/local craft ..etc). At the same time, the remainder of the party (of 5) are interested in trying the local wines and seeing the wineries.

She would prefer a small tour to the 45 seater bus variety. Her main problem seems to be too much choice! A look on the net indicates a huge number of such tours, but given this is once-only she cannot really afford to 'learn by her mistakes'.

I thought I'd throw this one to the forum. Does anyone know of any tours/tour companies that might fit the bill?

cheers,
dave

I have had good experiences with Visitours. Not much in the way of historical stops, however the drivers on the tours we went on were fairly knowledgeable.
