Sydney Trip (Feb or March) - Suggestions ?

Post by markg »

I haven't been to Sydney for a while and the times I have I had all my trip organised for me by whichever company I was contracted to at the time or I was much younger and was staying in youth hostels in Kings Cross. Now while I appreciate that I may absorb some local color and flavor from staying in such down to earth accommodation I was hoping that one or two of you might be able to reccomend a nice motel or hotel fairly close to the CBD ? Also, what are the taxi fares like these days ? Say CBD to Point Piper or CBD to North Ryde ?
Cheers

Accommodation and Taxis in sydney

CBD to North Ryde is about $50 - $60, depending on time of day and day of week. Not sure about Point Piper to CBD, probably about A$20. Suggest jumping on Needitnow or Wotif to find cheap accommodation.
