The `05 P Lehmann The 1885 Shiraz (Barossa).

I was able to sample this great shiraz downtown, the rep had dropped a bottle off at my fave winestore! Never come across it before, comments welcome!

SC, 14.5% alc, does not show the alcohol, great nose spice licorice. Medium to full bodied, softish tannins. No idea of the cost.

Hi Bob,

I am surprised that you can get the wine over there because when I tried it at cellar door recently, I was informed that it was only available direct from the winery. Cost is $55. I rated it as Highly Recommended with *** for value with room to improve as it matures. More details when I type up the tasting note in the next few days.
Cheers

Torb, not sure what ideas the rep has or even what he is doing hawking it around? Maybe he was over in Australia and picked some up!

Dec 9.

Following up, today I had a chance to taste the `04 "Futures". Very good Shiraz in my opinion, I have 2 bottles of the `03 in the cellar. Was not too impressed with the newly released Semillon however. Have a nice day!
