The Olympic Collection

Post by JD »

I bought 5 wines in 1996 that were part of an Olympic Collection put out by Rosemount estate They are all 1.5 Lt magnums and I have No. 056 of 2000

The Melbourne olympics and the Sydney ones

anyway they are 1993 Vintage and have been well stored for the past 11 years

I was wondering whether these are worth keeping , Drinking or selling

anyone know anything about them

I've actually had them all, the merlot was a surprise, not much development, but a very attractive sort of gaminess to it. The cabernet from orange has held up well, but not much development and not too much interest. I think think the cabernet merlot was alright. I can't quite think what the other two were, but one of them was horribly past it, maybe it was the shiraz.

Drink them , I have not seen them come up on the secondry market as yet . Alot of the commeration realeses are not good prospects if you want to make a profit . My self I would only sell them if you do not want to drink them , as your tastes have changed , or give them to a well love relative or friend .
