Great Labels

Post by Wayno »

As a counterpoint to the Daggy Labels thread, I got to thinking about some great labels too...

I tend to be a bit scared off of wine with too 'flash' a label, preferring a good touch of the traditional.

Whilst this is even more subjective and thus hard to pin down, there are a couple that I think make the cut.

- Mollydooker (say what you will about the wines but their branding and labelling is consistent and lively. The Carnival of Love is a fabulous label, tradition-or-no).

- Rockford (stock is a touch old fashioned now but the font and the embossed vine logo is superb)

Any other ideas?
Cheers

Setanta is pretty snappy.
Rousseau is special too.

Most of the old Barolo labels - like old leather armchairs in style!
