Grosset Polish Hill 06 - Found it!

Post by c6109 »

Hi there,

Stoked to have found this wine. We had tried it and really loved it.

We found it here in Sydney, purchased 2 bottles (drank 1) and one for the cellar...anyway...went back today and purchased another 2. In speaking with they guy he mentioned he had another case left . We paid $42.99 per bottle.

Wow, we had searched everywhere to try and find this wine and couldn't source it anywhere.

Worth a post if anyone is trying to find some.

Any particular reason you are stoked to find the 06? The 07 is out now,

I rarely drink whites but did try this earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. I rarely drink whites as I much prefer a full bodied red but this one went so well with the Thai meal we had. Just a one that really stood out for me, no other reason.
I'm sure that there are others that are just as good, if not better, but this one really left an impression.
Keen to try the 07 now.

I also thought the 2006 was excellent, maybe the best riesling I've had. I have a bottle of it sleeping in the cellar for a while. A friend of mine said he thought the 2007 was no good, but I haven't had a chance to taste it myself yet.
