Long time contributor to this forum, Graeme Gee (GraemeG) and his wife Judith have just had a baby boy. Geoffrey Windsor weighed in at 8lb 7 (or 3.85kg for you new-fangled types), is 53cm long, hale & hearty, was born by caesarean section (eventually) at 3.07am on May 27, 2007. Mother and son are doing well and will return home on Saturday June 2.
I wonder how long before he is trying "stickies"?

It's a bit of a coincidence that Geoffrey just happens to have the same birthday as myself!
Unfortunately, there's also a chance his birth year vintage could end up being just as shocking as mine is.

1969 was a very poor year most places, so I don't hold up much hope of getting something great that I wouldn't have to donate a body organ to get hold of. If I'm really lucky I may strike a decent VP or maybe something from the Hunter, but I don't like my chances.

Oh oh, 1969, that is a bad year everywhere that I know of, not even Portugal wanted to know about it. I suppose it will only really hit on your 40th when you won't have any birth year wines to share. Well happy birthday for last Sunday anyway.

I've read some raves about 1969 La Chapelle too but finding one will be really tough, and it will probably cost an arm and a leg. I've just got the one bottle of Yalumba VP at the moment, and I expect that's probably past it anyway - occasionally some d'Arenberg VPs show up at auction, maybe I'll find something else. At least I wasn't born in 1974.
