We have a bottle of Grange that has seen better days - although its now Balsamic vinegar ( ) we would like to restore the cork (which is floating in the vinegar) so we can proudly display it.
Does anyone know where you can have this done in Perth? Doesn't have to be a genuine Penfolds one because it won't be drinkable (Penfolds wont do it as it is not "sound").
The next lot of Penfolds clinics would be next year, but I'm not sure if it will achieve much - if the wines as bad as you think they'll just remove the capsule altogether, and not replace it or top up the wine. I'm not sure if legally anyone else can really do this either.
If you want to keep it as a momento you'll probably have to have a go yourself. Good luck.
If the wine is cactus you can just force an cork in by hand and bang it down with the palm of your hand. It will be fairly tight. Tight enough anyway.

If the wine is not worth saving, you can go to just about any home brew shop, I am sure they would let you borrow a pedestal corker to insert the cork - try Westbrew in Osborne Park, I am sure they could help
