I'm going to open one of these at a dinner party Sat'dee night. Anyone with experience re whether to decant, how long to leave breathe before drinking etc? Feedback would be much appreciated.

its a very classical wine with huge tannins. i bought a 6 pack at auction about 9? years ago for a dream price. drunk one and havent opened another since.

depends how you like your wine but it is a wine, as with many 94s that will live almost forever.

not a wine that seems trendy or talked about these days but i rate it

Open it Friday evening, and pour a small glass so it drops to low shoulder level. Whack the, or another, cork back in...the odds are the original will be crumbly, in my experience. Then, you get to see if the bottle is sound, and let this super wine breathe as it needs and deserves to. It's still my top JR, though the '86 keeps avoiding me.
