WIne match for Turkish food?

Post by chillwrx »

What wines will compliment Turkish fare?

Love to break out some great reds but I am not sure they will work.

If you mean real Turkish food, not the look alike some times you eat overseas. I suggest you a battle of :D ruki.
You blend the ruki with ice and mineral water. If you can't find good ruki you can try a good ouzu or arak – they all from the same family but they are different. In Turkey the tradition people eat the food with a glass of raki and other glass of a very salty beetroot juice. As you understand I don’t think red wine is a perfect match.
