Canonbah Drought Reserve Shiraz2002Anyone heard of/tried it?

Post by Martin Phillipson »

Hi All

This has appeared here for the princely sum of $35. I've never heard of this McLaren Vale producer. It weighs in at 15.5% alcohol and I I think it's an export only label. Sniff, sniff..what's that smell an overpriced Parkerised wine methinks.

Anyone here heard of this producer or tried this wine? I seem to remember some chatter a while back in a post about YellowTail.

Anyone have any TV's TN's or experience of this wine?

Thanks in advance

M

Martin,

These hale from Central NSW, here is there web site:

http://www.canonbah.com.au/

No listing for the Drought Reserve, just a Reserve Shiraz from a drought year, no vintage given :-(, but it is listed ath their US agent's site, well at least the label picture is, oddly via FTP.
Cheers
Brian
Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)

They did a "drought drop" or something a few years back - something like Cabernet, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc.
