We only have one side of the story so i can't really get upset about it. The retailer did the right thing in the end as well.

Change the p=0 at the end to p=1 or delete the ;p=0 altogether.

But it's really not worth the time to read it...

Ric,

Thanks for that. Should have listened to Brian. Waste of time.

Why can't some of these people just get over it. But saying that I should be used to this kind of stuff as I lived in San Antonio for 2 years (70 miles away from Austin) and Texas is definitely a different world. I'm amazed the guy didn't pull a gun and shoot him.

What's that ol' saying, only in ..... ?

AJ,

(Brian said) "But it's really not worth the time to read it..." ---- after years of experience, after having read the first post in this sort of thread; that's Brian's standard response because he knows what's likely to be coming next.

If I was spending that much money at a retailer I'd like to think that I'd get better service than that.

Looking at the overall history it seems like a case where a retailer takes a customer for granted.

Then again just thinking of spending $US1000 on 3 bottles of wine makes my head spin

At the rate you are going, at the next off line, I would take a bottle of Great Western Bubbles and a bottle of 'ardys Rough Red; no one will notice any difference from what you normally bring and you will save about $580! :P  :)

T-shirt guy just posted

Ric,
It seems the T-shirt guy himself just chimed in - suggesting Tom's account to be somewhat simplified. Interesting denouement.

I would have bought the place, fired everyone and had it demolished. 8)

Or...I could have just bought the other 3 they offered me "hours" later...
