The wine is the RSZ1. I actually saw it since in a Kemeny's catalogue for $34.99 by the case, $5 less than at the CD, but probably around the single bottle price anyway.
I will read the back of the bottle when I get home and will post if it says anything about the vineyard from which it came. From memory, there was quite a blurb.

Did you find out anything? I only ask because I saw he has a vineyard on Tanunda Creek Road and I've been looking for a single vineyard wine from the Flaxmans Valley for a while and this might be ideal.
Had a look at the 1999 Grant Burge Eden Valley RSZ1 bottle and unfortunately it is of very little help to you.
It only mentions that the wine is predominantly from the "cooler" Eden Valley (no vineyard specific information) with a small amount of Valley floor fruit added as well, I got the impression about 10%.
Good luck with getting more info from Grant Burge.

I thought I should post the fact that I opened a bottle of the above wine tonight and still think it, at least, as Highly Recommended and now that I have had time to study it, Excellent, especially given the style. This wine is huge for a Riesling. Its power is nearly overpowering to the extent that when drunk at room tempreature it nearly gives the impression that the alcohol (11.5% - that is not it!) is out of balance. However, when lightly chilled, that power is transformed into mouthfilling power and glorious length. This wine is all about balance and power. I think it will hit its peak in 2007/8. Great food wine.
He's saying the thread has basically been brought back from dead...(or maybe just that the poster is back). I don't think either of those things is bad..

On online forums, very old threads that have been brought back after many years are usually called zombie threads. I found it humorous because his name is Lincoln and I have seen pop culture references before to undead Abraham Lincoln.
