I searched past postings for this one, but didn't find anything. Is this one just for import over here to America? Anybody tried it? Anyone have opinions generally about Tin Shed? Looks like their website is still under construction.
Thanks!

Tin Shed is a tiny oufit run by two guys in the Barossa Valley. The basis is getting fruit from some of the wonderful old vineyards that are scattered througout the valley and hand making small batches of wine.
I don't know the Three Vines label but it could be a relabel of their Australian Melting Pot to avoid some kind of copyright infringement in the US.
Their wines are very good and certainly worth a look. The top of the range red is the Single Wire Shiraz, a wine that retails here in Australia for around $45. 2002 is the current release, excellent wine.
I think Gavin here at Auswine (this boards owner) stocks their wines.

If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!

Well, I scoured the web and was able to determine that the Melting Pot and the Three Vines are not the same. Looks like the Melting Pot is all shiraz, while the Three Vines is a GSM blend. And, it appears the Three Vines is sold in Australia as well. So somebody out there must have tasted some, right? I was able to find a few notes for the 2001 Three Vines, but not for the 02.

Tin Shed Three Vines M/S/G 2002 $28 91 points
Opens with some feral/ meaty overtones, the nose and palate veers towards the savoury end of the fruit spectrum, showing liquorice, dark plum, chocolate, coffee and earthiness. It is more European in style than typical Barossa blend, perhaps owing to the larger portion of Mourvedre. Good fruit intensity across the palate, and will develop nicely over the short to medium term. A wine of interest.
For what it is worth, I thought the 2002 was a superior wine to the 2003, which was riper and finished a little lean and sharp by comparison.
Cheers
