Riddoch Estate Selection Shiraz Coonawarra 2002

Post by jester »

Just curious if anyone is familiar with this wine as have just finished a bottle that a friend brought round and found it to be quite nice. Not the same wine as made by Katnook Estate ( or definitely not the same label ) and has no details on back of bottle as to producer and have never seen it on the shelves anywhere. Did a few internet searches and couldn't find anything but sure someone out there will know something about it.

Cheers

Possibly a CellarMasters label?

Yet another confusing use of the Riddoch name for a Coonawarra wine.

This is one made by someone in Coonawarra for a hotel group that own the Royal Mail in Dunkeld at the southern end of the Grampians and another hotel on Victoria's western coast at Port Fairey.

A bottle I tried a while back at the Port Fairey establishment was ok without being anything special. We ordered it thinking it was the Katnook label "Riddoch".

If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!
