When the bottle was opened and the Aromas came out it smelt that Great that I thought it was going to defy all the bad reports that Ive read about this but nothing could have been further from the truth.
That was probably due to the best available fruit to them but the fact is something went terribally wrong during the winemaking process. Spice with no fruit sweetness but bitter vannilla and lemon juice oak. Bitter.
Ive enjoyed the 98 Black before and although expensive its a very good wine but this vintage is terrible. Avoid it at all costs and sell your bottles if you have any. 99% of wines under $10 are better. Undrinkable 40 Points....Seriously
