We are in a semi-detached home with no room for a cellar or a cabinet (not that the budget would go that far in any case). In the absence of another practical solution (no Chuck, moving from Sydney to Adelaide is not going to happen), I have no choice but to store our wine collection under our bed or in my daughter's built in wardrobe. Both locations are relative cool and subject to minimal temperature fluctuations in comparison to the rest of the house.
Based on the advice I have received so far in wine shops, the best solution in these circumstances seems to be packing the bottles in styrofoam cartons.
I have scoured the net but can't find a source for these cartons. Can anyone assist with a supplier in Sydney? Or is there another low cost alternative for an 'under the bed' or 'in a wardrobe' solution.

Not at all true Martin, I can get 24 bottles into a styro box with very little wasted space. You can also stack them 5 high with no worries. In reality, they can take up a lot less space than lots of open racks.
