TN: Howard Park Chardonnay 2013

Post by Waiters Friend »

My final bottle tonight.

Still deep yellow and only just tending to gold. Cashew nut, developed peach and nectarine aromas, with melon and cedar. Possibly some over-ripe banana as well.

The palate is rich and quite intense, with the developed fruits and oak derived characters coming together in roughly equal measure. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, and acid still present in a supporting role.

While this is obviously fully developed, I'm surprised at how the wine has retained its balance. A good wine and consistent with the Howard Park style.

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
