TN: Best's Great Western Concongella Blend 2021

Post by Waiters Friend »

Now here's an unusual blend. The Best's Nursery Block apparently contains 39 different grape varieties, 8 of which remain unidentified. The 18 white varieties are included in this wine. 12% alcohol.

Very pale straw colour, almost watery. Musk, peach skin, Granny Smith apple, apricot, and pears on the nose. The palate is medium weight, with the variety of fruit flavours flowing across the tongue. Prominent, but not sharp, acid keeps the wine zingy and refreshing. Moderate length only.

An interesting wine, primarily because of the multiple flavours - they work well together and provide more interest than many unwooded single varietals.

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
