Need to save the pennies for Standish next month….

Standish time again already… where does the time go.

I bought some Standish last year for the first time, but the bottle is oversized and does not fit well with other wines in the fridges. Won’t be adding to my problems by buying more - it’s not as if there is a shortage of exciting Shiraz out there.

Yes the bottles are a pain (as are Sami Odi) for fridges and some racks, but the quality is so high that I’ll put up with the problem. The Lamella and Schubert Therom are, or are very close to, the best Shiraz in the country for my money (as is Sami Odi).

Still moving the cellar from Hong Kong. I count these as new buys as I’ve not yet added them to cellar-tracker. Nice to have unlimited luggage on a freighter jet so I keep the pretty wooden coffins the magnums come in. I also found another box of wine I don’t know I had. Mascarello Monprivato from 1989
