A few more Yeringberg 2021 Cabernets.

Will be interested in what you think of the GW Riesling, the region makes some solid Rieslings, but Drumborg is the pick.

Might pull the trigger on some 2023

Bought a 6-pack '23 Drumborg - outstanding potential but way to young at the moment. Put the other 5 in my Kennards locker - will look at in 3 then perhaps 5 years.
Tight yet quite mouthfilling - quite textural but very muted Riesling fruit. Will be outstanding, like the 1976 and 1978 examples enjoyed some 40 years ago.

WR...that may get me over the line...did it have that laser like lick of acidity?
Agree that sometimes these Rieslings are very muted. Had an 02 Leonay recently, very soft and delicate, but think its only half way. Will have another at Christmas I think.

Haha I can visualise you going down to the cellar to decide what to have with dinner young Malcolm - will it be a Coonawarra or......a Coonawarra.

Thought we'd re-educated you back into Burgundy with MBSC - clearly you've reverted

3 x 2020 Houghton Jack Mann, needs a looong sleep before I will touch it.

My next comment is entirely non wine related and I anguished long and hard whether to say anything at all.
There is an Aust listed company named Imugene and they have just today received US FDA fast track designation for their product that kills cancer tumours. Yes, a cure for cancer. I will say no more.
Imugene, cure for cancer.

Started cooking a Green Curry on Monday and forgot about the closing of the Wickmans auction. Shame - there was a lovely 97 Seppelt Great Western Shiraz and 1970 Leasingham Cab Malbec that i had my eye on. Anybody here buy them ?

That left a single bottle of 1996 Richmond Hill Coonawarra Cab ( the 97 was the best corked wine I can remember having) and a bottle of NV Wynvale Port the looks to have come from the 70's.
This is my church, this is where I heal my hurts.
For tonight, God is the Auswine Wine Forum

MC spotted the '97 GW but have 4 bottles from an original sixer in the cellar.
Picked up the other '98 Wirra Wirra Penley, for the same price as last months' bottle. Will be good to have a back up.

Big pharma will buy them out and shelve it. It's not in their interests to cure cancer.

Got a Vanya Cullen 2012 at auction. Keen to try this in a decade. Many auction odds and ends to keep from depleting the cellar. A lot of mature Coonawarra is pretty cheap and suits my old fashioned palate. I’m amazed on social media at the diversity of drinking the generations behind partake in. It’s all too new for me and hard to keep up!

No new purchases. I’m moving my other cellar back to Australia slowly but surely at about 30 bottles a months. I’ve pretty much unlimited luggage it’s just what I can carry- 2 x suitcases with 12 bottles of Barolo each.

Couple of randoms for xmas period:
1x Langoa Barton 2015
1x Penfolds Bin 311 2022 (which interestingly is about $1 cheaper from BBR than it would be in Oz from Uncle Dan's)
