Marketing department on hallucinogenics...again!!
Whats up with elephants and turkeys, how ironic.

These will go the way of Thomas Hyland and Rawsons Retreat

A Californian Red for $30 is a rare find in Australia. It may not be the best, but I’ll wait till I taste before I pass judgement.

Cheers

If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?

First vintages of new wines like these need to be good in order to attract a following and there may be some relative bargains in the selection.
This is my church, this is where I heal my hurts.

MC, there may well be, but I'm not convinced.
Best thing Pennies could do is to start culling a few labels, not going for this mile wide inch deep approach, hoping that somewhere, somehow, some day they snare a niche spot with the 20 somethings/wannabes/influencers.

How about pouring back the best fruit into Bin 28, deleting a wine no one buys (407) or get smarter and make a cab that rivals Wynns BL?
Give 389 a bit more love, something that rivals great C/S blends e.g. Yalumba Signature
PH and EV Rieslings need a price reset, again when I can pick up Leonay and Drumborg for 25% cheaper, why would one bother?

They are going down the Pernod Ricard/MHLV/Orlando/JC road, sorry can't make head or tail of that range any more. There are so many blends/super blend/ultra blend, they've lost me...but they don't need to find me either

I'll enjoy knocking off a few cases of Magill and St Henri over the next couple of decades, that will do me.

Cheers Craig

Yep, that's where I'm at with Penfolds too. Coming up to about my 10th anniversary since buying a bottle.
