Some amazing wines there Con. One gets the feeling you quite like Lakes Folly

I'd be very curious how those Wynn's are travelling if you can share an update post consumption. I hope the wine gods show favour.

Prices on the Wynns didn't seem too bad Con. Must pay more attention, one of the wines was my birth year.

Yeah, I’ve always liked Lake’s Folly. Drank a lot more in my earlier days than I I do now.
The most enticing thing about these wines were the condition and number of bottles available.

Glad you didn’t see the Wynns Craig

Cheers Con.

6 * 2021 Setiono Flaxman Shiraz

Tip from one of the Melbourne tasting group. This is the first vintage by young winemaker Sam Chandra. She is good friends with the winemaker at Agricola and this was made on their premises. Same source of fruit, but a different winemaking philosophy. Only 1631 bottles made and I’m sure it’s going to be good.

Fingers crossed Malcolm, I can’t remember ever drinking an old Redman.

The two that I got last week looked lonely so I picked up the three below today.

Yeah I bought these because I had the 2010 Chardonnay earlier this year. Amazing wine, lovely light yellow/gold, almost fluorescent and could smell it all night.

The Pinot’s not too shabby either, I think Roscoe put on a Tout Pres a couple of years ago, lovely.

I presume these came from the last MW auction. If so they did Con a favour and the seller a disservice by not including some photos. I rarely look for Shiraz wines, but had I seen a photo I would have bid (and eventually lost to Con 😀) on a few.
