I should be going for the bests. Had a few 16/17 and very smashable.
Truth is, I am hanging out for 2018 Bin O, will be amazing.
Cheers Craig
Ps. Riesling is king, picked up the Drumborg today for no money at all

Prithee do tell! Yet to try a Bin 0, but if Bin 1 is anything to go by I should be seeking it out! Anyway - excuse me while I go down the quasi-natural wine alley for a bit...
Ruggabellus will be interesting for me - I suspect the whites will hold more interest than the reds, and I am also curious about the WF drinking windows for the reds...
Same shop also stocks the Between Five Bells Yellow, so I suspect that will be in upcoming order, together with a Paiagallo Barolo, which seem to be quite well priced over here.

Yes Bin 0 is a beautiful wine, this and Seppelts are regular buys from Great Western.
I am hopeful its south of $80, but the 2018 will be the last purchase.
A 96 that I had last year was magnificent.
Cheers Craig

How I regret not picking up the 1996 Bin 0, something I tasted at a store sponsored restaurant dinner. I did make amends by grabbing a couple of the 1998, also at a store sponsored dinner, this time featuring Viv Thompson. I later picked up a few 2003 but have not come across any since then, though to be fair I have not gone looking for it.phillisc wrote:Yes Bin 0 is a beautiful wine, this and Seppelts are regular buys from Great Western.

Re: October 2021 Purchases
I am now going to write about a friend's purchase, not mine. I am only posting this because had I been in his shoes it would have been my purchase.
My friend walked into a store to buy some beer and noticed a couple of bottles of Antinori's 2014 Tignanello on the clearance shelf. It was listed at C$55, down from something the original price of C$85. Wine Searcher listed the cheapest price for this bottle was C$140 in Hong Kong. Naturally enough he bought both bottles. Of course I asked whether he bought both, because had he only picked up the single bottle I would have been in the car quick smart to pick up the remaining bottle.

Oops, double post.
Re: October 2021 Purchases
12 x Higher Plane 2021 Margaret River SSB. Totally smashable summer lunchtime wine. Some lovely SB notes on the nose (gooseberry, passionfruit) with the Semillon providing the backbone in the mouth. MR does this blend so sell. Best SSB area in OZ? Pretty close.
