Dense colour, purple at rim very quickly becoming impenetrable. Very complex nose, reminiscent of 'natural' wine at first, then with air lots of graphite, spice, herbs, twigs, overlaying rich blueberry/blackcurrant. In the mouth the wine is built around its structure, it has powerful, fine, bitter chocolate tannins that pervade the mouth and draw the wine towards the long and intense finish, ably supported by the right amount of acid. On top of this, imagine cramming in as much just-ripe fruit as possible and there you have it, a wine that is mouth-filling, linear, weighty and yet elegant. Back up the truck.

Quality wine made by a great bloke. Excellent note and I dipped in for a few of these after tasting it with Brett.
Cheers

If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?

Hear hear. The Halliday award didn’t look like it changed him one bit. Although, he has started to move up in the world! His tasting room now has ‘tables’
But seriously, one of the treasures of the Barossa at this moment!

It was one of the best tasting experiences I've had.
There were no tables when we were there.
This was pre covid and a couple that he knew were also there so it was even more relaxed than normal.

I appreciate all forms of alcohol, as long as its wine.
