Penfolds Adelaide Club Cabernet Shiraz

Post by mychurch »

I friend asked my opinion on this, as he had never seen it before. I can see some bottles have been sold at auction with vintages from the late 70s and early 80s. It’s a Cabernet Shiraz and I presume it was a konoonga Hill with a special label, but it could of course have been a relabelled Bin 389 or even a separate blend. Anyone know anything about it ? Pennies wines age well, but would a 77 or and 81 still be drinkable.
