Many thanks for the additional info & insight Craig. The 1998s were my last foray into the reds wines and it's long been a frustration that I've never seen the Hunter Semillons or Shiraz.

All a bit mad in the UK at the moment, what with Brexit brinkmanship and the more serious Covid mutation that is running riot. I suspect we'll end up in a long lockdown for the next couple of months, though TBH the strongest lockdown rules available, are the ones I've chosen to adhere to anyway. Working from home has pros and cons, but we managed to deliver a brand new system starting from the middle of this year, so it's certainly been effective work. Fingers crossed Sydney gets things back under control and those elsewhere continue to enjoy that rare pleasure - good food and wine in good company!

Best wishes to you for getting through the COVID situation in UK and the rest of Europe. It’s hard for us in Australia to comprehend the daily numbers of cases and deaths. We are pretty lucky, Australia is an island and for long periods no-one was allowed in or out. I have been through eights months straight of working from home in Melbourne and we had various other restrictions from time to time. There was a modest second wave in Melbourne which after 13 weeks of strict lockdown is now under control, we have now had 50 odd days of no community transmission or cases. I am now in the midst of relocating to Adelaide for work and Sth Aust is also in a good position Covid-wise. Sydney also has a second wave at present but seems to be getting under control. There are flights back to Australia now, generally repatriating Australians who have been stuck overseas, everyone goes into 14 days of quarantine, Tourists are allowed to freely fly in from NZ, other than that, there is no other inbound travel. Overall, we are in a pretty good place, and the ravages of COVID in the rest of the world, particularly the US, seem dire by comparison.

Agreed, people now understand what being girt by sea means. Hopefully the Syd situation is reigned in. Melb went ballistic (for AU) and did well to curb it and hopefully Syd is the only other issue we experience but who knows if and where it is.
