Adelaide BYO + extra stuff; Organised by Wickman's

I am trying to organise a series of wine events over the next 12 months, making it a little different by adding an activity into the mix, so it is more than just about wine and, hopefully, open up tasting experiences to a broader audience.

This is a NOT for profit undertaking and one of the primary goals will include hosting and organising some charity events in the series.

The series is sponsored by Wickman's and I will be either donating too or subsidising many of the tastings that are organised.

I have started a meetup group specifically for this purpose (link below).

It would be great to have the Adelaide Auswine forum crew support this by coming along to the odd BYO and tasting that is organised and to share some of your knowledge and enthusiasm for wine with newbies and other interested parties.

This Saturday, Imperial Measures Distillery in Thebarton is hosting us for a Gin tasting and distillery tour (speaks for itself) and a Wine tasting which will be a beginners introduction to the Bordeaux blend (using Australian wines). Afterwards we will walk down the road to the West Thebby social club and BYO (I am open to suggestions for a theme) and a pub meal. There is a local band playing later that will break up the evening nicely for those that want to stay on a little longer.
