Purple black in colour. Vibrant nose of ripe red and maraschino cherry, with a fair amount of earthiness. The palate is only medium bodied with fine and tightly grained tannins. The fruit flavours and acid provide freshness, while the earthiness and savoury characters add a little complexity. It's not overly complex and for me finishes a little short.
A rarity for me, it's possibly a wine that, if I was out to dinner, I would have a glass and move to something else. It's likely to go with food well, possibly a tomato based pasta course, before moving to something a little fuller for a meat course.
I'd be interested in other people's opinions of this or similar wines.

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
