Can I ask where you got your hands on these? I know the winemaker well, but no chance of getting them in Australia, or so i thought?
Thanks,
Andrew

Oh, forgot to mention I'm in Canada so I have access to this wine. I had the 2014's before and loved it.

2 x 2015 G.D. Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole
1 x 2015 G.D. Vajra Barolo Ravera

I don't plan to buy many 2015 Barolo's. Planning to leave cellar space and funds for the 2016's next year.

Barbarescos?

Olek's promised me his family reserve this year as demand so high!

Whoops, yes of course, sadly I can'r seem to manage multi-skilling and my mind was elsewhere (Barolo it seems).

Have you managed to try the 2016 Starderi or Roncagliette Jamie? If so any thoughts? I'm guessing it's a very safe bet.

Wow, such a small plot of vines out the front, and by memory they are pretty old. Dont think Wynns make very much of it. Good pick up, but i
guess the real question is it good?

I haven't. Olek says they are excellent.

I do love a good Pedro! My first introduction was the Romate Cardenal Cisneros which was pretty good.
Use it still in very small proportions as a blend for my Port Barrel.

The falling $AUD will shift my budget toward Australia a little. Not sure where to go yet, as I know what I don't like but somewhat lost I what I do in the new world of Aussie wine.

A Labor government will see further $AUD softness in my opinion, perhaps opening the way for the extraordinary scenario of repatriating foreign wine out of Australia at a bargain.

Ross,
There is actually a reasonable block of pedro vines out front of the Gables, they are very old, planted between 1907 and 1917, now real gnarly dudes. They decided to do something with them about 10 years ago and have had a solera going since then.

A very enjoyable wine I must say, agree with Craig. Had a bottle last year on release, just thought I'd top up!

Thinking deeply about this one...would like a couple of mixed cases like last year...however, just so much good wine to buy, its occasions like this when I wish the pockets were much much deeper. Perhaps $100 is the new $50 who knows!!??

3 x 2017 Gonon St Joseph.

My allocation got cut from 4 bottles to 3. I can give live with this - so long as it is not the beginning of a trend!
