Just bought 12 x Voyager Estate Chardonnay 2011

Had this in Margaret River in November and it blew my socks away - reminded me of Leflaive Puligny Montrachet (well OK, a bit different in taste but the quality not so different) and I'm going to blind taste it with a few Frenchies when it arrives here in Singapore.

As a complete aside, have been lurking a lot but not updating much (last post quite a while back) only because now that I switched to a Samsung phone, I can't log into the website (it logs me out immediately) and I barely get the laptop out...

There are folk who will like this, but lets not pretend for a minute it is anywhere near Coche Dury.

Of course I don't know white burgundy (other than the old Houghtons label) and have never been to Coach Jury.

To contribute to the thread, just bought a mixed sixpack of Foradori's. Mainly Teroldego and a bottle of the Nosiola. They fascinate me. I await the razzing for being a bit left field

Absolutely no offence was taken Michel, but thanks for saying.

We all have our preferences and these are crafted/formed (to some extent) by means. I wish I could drink some of the wines you do, but I'm not jealous. I get a lot of joy from the wines I can afford. I am sure if I went back to the wines I drank 20 years ago (I am looking at you Rosemount split label) I would find them shallow and short.

I'm impressed if you got the Ornato cheap - must be a EUR100 wine these days? The Ca Nova is most definitely value, and worth a look in if you find yourself in the village of Barbaresco.

Easily that price for the current drive on 2015 and the inaugural release of Mosconi is even more! It's up 30% on 2013 which I bought.

It's a 20 year wine for me. The oak needs time to shed and integrate and I think Serralunga fruit handles oak quite well. The 2008 were 60£ a bottle and I'll cellar three, drink one and present two in a vertical next year.

So far my no shiraz 2019 has been successful. However my more nebbiolo/barolo/langhi ect
has been poor. Need to pick up my game. In the meantime:
