Camp Wines

No, not wines that mince around but wines that you would take on a camping holiday with you.

What would you take ?

Expecting warm to hot weather, I have packed a couple of Seppelts original sparkling burgundies a 2002 Shaw & Smith M3 charddy, a 1986 Penfolds Koonunga Hill, a couple of 2002 Peter Lehman Cab Savs, a 2003 Kalleske Greenock shiraz and a Seppelts DP 63 Show reserve muscat.

Oh, and about a dozen Coopers ales to get me started.

I suppose I will have to think about what to take for the wife sometime before we go :)
Cheers

Good topic Mark. Only an overnight trip?

I am off to Cardwell for a couple of days after XMas with my caravaning enthusiast in-laws. Expecting hot to very hot weather. Agree that some sparkling reds will be in order.

Earlier this year, went camping over Easter to Ravenswood - gold mining town an hour and a half's drive south of Townsville. Not much to do there but play golf and drink reds. Great holiday.

It's currently red wine drinking weather here in Townsville at the moment. 33 degrees at 9.30am - outside. A pleasant 22 degrees inside in the airconditioning.

Cheers

I would take screwcaps as I have often forgotten a corkscrew when camping.

Sparkling shiraz and riesling-cooled in a mountain stream!

I don't know what would go well in the wine world when thrown in the Mighty Murray to cool.

Where you off to?

Hello Guest

To be a wealthy man, you must leave Hong Kong with the same lady you arrived with!

If I was on the hunt though, Wan Chai shooters odds! :D
