I'm no scorer of wines, so these are at best a rough reflection based on reviewing CT notes

Overall Wine of the Year = not really any that were a 'wow', so I'll cheat and include 2007 Marco Mosconi Recioto di Soave from late last year. Amazing complexity (not cheap mind)

New Release Red Wine of the Year = 2015 Tenuta Migliavacca Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese
New Release White Wine of the Year = 2015 Pierre Vessigaud Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes (but not especially outstanding)
New Release under $30 Red Bargain of the Year = 2015 Tenuta Migliavacca Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese
New Release under $30 White Bargain of the Year = 2015 Pierre Vessigaud Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes (but not especially outstanding)
From the cellar Red Wine of the Year = 1958 Fratelli Berteletti Gattinara Castello di Lozzolo
From the cellar White Wine of the Year = 2012 Vigneti Massa Colli Tortonesi Montecitorio

seen over 1500 wines this year, but I wouldn't give my WOTY based solely on a single tasting amongst what sometimes is over 50 wines.
best bottle of wine I have had this year (as in actually opening and drinking-sharing and contemplating the wine):

1.New Release 2016 Guigal Condrieu La Doriane

2. Best wine, any age 1989 Chateau Haut Brion

Been a bit of a strange year and encompassed a shift to a new job/city/country so didn't have a lot from the cellar or a lot of wine focused occasions this year, hence not too many jaw dropping wines.
This list is based on my CT scores so I might be forgetting something if I forgot to take notes on it.

Overall Wine of the Year = 2011 Lake's Folly Chardonnay STC after whatever I open over December!

New Release Red Wine of the Year = 2014 Houghton Cabernet Sauvignon Jack Mann
New Release White Wine of the Year = 2017 Pierre Gaillard St. Joseph Blanc
New Release under $30 Red Bargain of the Year = 2012 Asara Bell Tower
New Release under $30 White Bargain of the Year = as every year- a whole bunch of Aussie rieslings, but I didn't try enough this year to pick one.
From [my] cellar Red Wine of the Year = 2005 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz
From the cellar White Wine of the Year = 2011 Lake's Folly Chardonnay

Honourable mentions:
Petaluma Hanlin Hill 2012, Lindemans Hunter River Steven Hermitage Bin 8025 1990, Yarra Yering Chardonnay 2012, Moss Wood Cabernet 1999,
2016 Terras Gauda Rías Baixas Etiqueta Negra, 2006 Rolf Binder/Veritas "Bull's Blood", 2002 Saltram Shiraz No.1

Really quiet year, highlight was the better half's celebratory birthday...a heap of aged Aussie classics, 96 Wendouree Shiraz and cab were good, 98 Creek Block and 97 7 Acre were excellent, 86 389 superb, magnum of 82 BL in top shape....other than that with a heap of health niggles in 2018 its been really lean.

Looking forward to an 08 Verve and a bottle of recently purchased 2012 Katnook Odyssey Christmas night, when I can settle in and don't have to move

cheers craig
Tomorrow will be a good day
