There is, but I have taken the advice of the esteemed Simon1980 and tried to get focussed on the 2012/2013/2014 vintages of pinot noir that both Mornington and YV are turning out. Seriously great wines some of them, and a change in pace once in a while from the shiraz. In saying that, glad I grabbed some Serrat Shiraz viognier earlier in the week. But that's it. A punctuation mark for shiraz for a little while.

In transition phase - stocked up ("overstocked") my new cellar last year but made the mistake of many new cellar owners and went overboard with volume, particularly on big Aussie shiraz and cabernet. Now drinking the young Aussie stuff and focusing on acquiring old world wines....

It's interesting to see the changes in breakdown as my palate has changed. Things are starting to get closer to the breakdown of what I like to drink, rather than what I was buying in the past. I did however find a 6 pack of 2013 Puriri Hills Harmonie du Soir which I thought I must have already polished off. Appears I now have more great wine to drink than I thought

My spreadsheet sorts by region and colour hence the categories shown. Playing with my wine inventory spreadsheet is one of those things I enjoy.

Biggest change is the drop in Aussie Reds from 17.5% down to 9.6% of cellar. A lot of the wine was sold off. The overall composition / balance in the cellar has not changed dramatically over last 3 years. If I went back 10 years to 2008 it would be a bigger change I suspect.

Note to self... Need more Burgundy, need more Gamay (I'm a big fan of Cru Beaujolais with a few years on the clock), and need more Champagne.
