Wine WA brisbane tasting

I have watched with interest the reports of the WineWa tasting and wonder if my palate has suffered the same fate as some others on this forum.

Perhaps it is bottle variation that is to blame.

At the recent WineWa tasting in Brisbane, I decided to pay more attention to wines that I am unfamiliar with while paying the Moss Woods etc their due respect.

I just read Ric's Part 2 (after re-reading part 1) and was expecting to find the wines I found exceptional there but this was not to be.

Two wineries that really impressed were the:

PEOS Estate

and

Watershed

I thought the Peos range was quite exceptional and the Watershed Shiraz right up there with the best Shiraz on tasting for the show. I was also able to taste the Cabernet (Sold out) from Watershed which was also of a very high standard.

Which brings me back to the beginning of this post.

Did no one else taste these wines on the day? Did I just get to taste some exceptional bottles?

Did anyone try these wines?

Hi Graham, I was there too, and I must confess I did the rounds of the bigger wineries first as I havent druk a lot f WA wines.

I did, however, get to Peos, mainly attracted by the gong they got for their Chardonnay. I really enjoyed their range too. The Chardonnay was good, but was in some very strong company. The reds were also very good, and good value too. This is a label that IMO deserves support.
