6 X 2017 St John's road 'the resilient' grenache.

Absolutely cracking drop.
Complete steal for the $$$.
Took home a few awards around the place as well.
Tried the other night thanks to a buddy and I was sold immediately.

2 X 2017 Grosset watervale SV rizz
2 X 2017 Grosset Alea Rizz

I ordered 2 bottles of the 3 2016 Regabellus Whites (or should that be ‘Oranges’). Very interested to see what they are like.
Off to Europe for a few weeks, so ‘won’ a mixed lot of Anjou Blanc from Boudignon and Pierre Menard at auction in Belgium. Boudignon is imported here, but the price is just a bit steep. A couple of others i’d Like to bring back as well, but there is only so much room in the suitcase...

Cutting my mailer quantities in half to stop my cellar's slow explosion. It certainly focuses the mind.

3 x 2008 Louis Roederer Cristal. Something of an impulse buy as I have tended to regard Cristal as a "show off" wine. But am hearing a lot of impressive stories about 2008 champagnes so pulled the trigger

First offer in NZ and only 10 cases and 7 cases sold within 3 hours so I was told

so after my *dont buy too many of one variety/region, and dont buy more than 3* post............
an offer I simply couldn't refuse comes up today

12 x 2010 Wynns Black Label Cab Sav ....... at $24 per bottle

BUT....9 of these are for everyday drinking/now and 3 are going away for 15 years AND i dont have any 2010 in my
cellar.... so thats my (internal) reasoning

Lucky my better half loves Coonawarra Cabernet

I received an order for 3 bottles of Standish "The Standish" 2016. One was given as a wedding gift. I'll put the other 2 in storage to drink after 5 years.

This is my first order of Standish after tasting a glass at Blackbird Grill a few months ago. They were serving The Standish and the Cullen Diana Madeline by the glass so I could not resist.

Good man and a worthy exception...had I got the offer I would have been buying more and adding to the two dozen I already have in the cellar.
Under stelvin, I think 15 years is conservative...can see reports of 00 and 10 BLs in the 2030s and 40s...they will live forever....unlike myself
