So do you think Terre Nere Etna Rosso is better?
I haven't tried the Etna Rosso yet, but based on the other Terre Nere's I have tried it's a producer I like.

Etna, like other wine regions of the world, has many different vineyards and producers. There's a range of different styles. Trying them and working out what you like is what makes this hobby so much fun.

A bottle of 2016 Ch Musar Levantine, a new bottling released much younger than normal for their reds and from a different blend of grapes.

Had a bottle at a restaurant on Sat night. A clean and precise style akin to Passopisciaro. Will post up a more detailed tasting note from home once the bottles arrive.

FWIW I would have preferred 3 bottles, however it is only available in 6 packs.

I just got the mailing list order form for these and hence seen the per bottle prices... that's a pretty hefty cash outlay by your standards Craig! I might have to start calling you Felix...

Indeed Sam... probably a reckless rush of blood. Got a couple of bottles of the 15 Lamella last year. Yes incredibly rare that I have had a 4 figure spend in the one hit...but have been informed by a few punters that Dan is great at his craft and that the wines are top shelf. I can only console myself that the quality here would cost me 2-5 times more if from henschke or torbreck.
Not in the same race as the Honkies boys up north with their massive salaries and tiny tax rates...they have a four figure spend most weeks.
In all seriousness l think the next 24 months will be the last of the big buys... I am getting up to 30 vintages of a number of wines and to be honest have enough wine.
Wild duck creek, Wendouree, Marius, Wynn's, Rockford and Noon will see me out.
Cheers

Sheeeesh Phil

You make me feel like a non-contributor . Just back from accountants and I pay a long way over 10K AUD HKG tax per month . Plus I pay that in Oz just in GST on property leases.

15 years ago I was unemployed viewing this forum with envy and drinking cheap wine.

Had to leave Australia to drink better :-)

Hi Con, may I ask how much these went for? Chevillon is my favorite Burgundy producer. They are the same price ex domaine.
Cheers,
