Why was Starderi declassified? He didn't mention any issues recently. It's supposed to be a great vintage. Wonder what's up here?

I just had Olek reserve 18 x Roncagliette 2015, 18 x Starderi 2015, 12 x Barbera 2015. He spoke highly of 2015.

Not sure how much I can say publicly... perhaps I've said too much already. Contact Gavin for further information or to purchase.

SO SAMI-ODI 'HD-HOFFMAN DALLWITZ' SYRAH 2016 x 2
SO SAMI-ODI 'LITTLE WINE' #7 (SYRAH) x 2
CM CHATEAU MUSAR RED 2002 75CL
CM CHATEAU MUSAR RED 2003 75CL

Never had Sami Odi so following the forum here. Managed to find a distributor in Singapore (winemakers directed me to one here). Was limited to buying four only and lifted the Musar to qualify for free delivery (lol).

So this Sami Odi...Long decant or Long wait, or immediately good to go? Will be a first for me.

The Hoffman Dallwitz will improve with age, but is still very approachable when young.
The #7 is better now than later. According to Fraser in the current mailout, consume the #7 within a couple of years.

Nice little six pack of professionally cellared Mt Ed 2002 I've been pipped for at auction. Stopped at $150 not including commission. An excellent wine tempted to keep going but...

Con, well done on the 82 JR...hope the price has come down a bit from the ridiculous highs of a few years ago. Note that a certain chain was flogging them off late last year for sub $200...not sure why?

Cheers

Hi Con, may I ask what these are going for in the market. Never been convinced about if Nicole has lifted the standards of this name.

FWIW, I tried some 2015 Lamarche barrel samples at the Pearl of Burgundy (POB) 2015 en primeur tasting in HK this time last year and had mixed views. I was very impressed by the Vosne Romanee Village but much less so by the grand crus. The La Grand Rue was good and reasonably concentrated but lacked a bit of flair and there were wines from other growers (Sylvain Cathiard, Hudelot-Noellat) that I preferred and bought. I don't think isolating the 1959 vines to form a separate cuvee has done this wine any favours. I didn't like the Clos Vougeot at all. To me, it was overripe and muddled. I didn't buy any Lamarche but my HK collecting mate bought some Vosne Romanee to drink young.

12 x Landhaus 2015 The Saint Barossa Valley Shiraz. Bought after recently being very impressed with the 2010 model of this wine. Haven't bought much Barossa shiraz of late so need to rebalance the cellar.

Thanks Craig.

I think the price was ridiculous for a JR considering I could have got 3 or 4 bottles of the 1990 or 1991.
But I keep reading how good it and I'd love to try one so I’m hoping this bottle will be in good condition.
Will probably open it soon and report back.

Cheers Con.

I paid $440 for the 2012 and $345 for the 2013.

I’m buying La Grand Rue on faith not having tried it that it will be good when it's about 20 year old.
Obviously the plot is in a great location and read that Lamarche have improved a lot since the early 00’s.
I have only had the Suchots a couple of times and thought it was pretty good.

I’ve stuck to my guns and have not purchased any 2015 Burgundy.

Cheers Con.
