My NY resolution is to buy, cellar and drink more red burgundy.

Shared a mixed 2 dozen on a pre-arrival offer (delivery April) of 2016 Domain Marc Roy Gevrey Chambertin VV, Gevrey Chambertin La Justice, Gevrey Chambertin Clos Prieur and Gevrey Chambertin Cuvee Alexandrine with 4 mates who are becoming burgundy focussed.

We have previously bought 2014s and 2015s from this domain and for village wines, they are very good. Alexandrine Roy is clearly a talented winemaker.

I love beserkers for the informed discussions but don't participate myself so much for a number of reasons.

It's a funny place - at times considered and thoughtful, a times a locker-room brawl. That said some of the more strident / aggressive personalities have moved on or post less, and the general move is towards more civility, though it will I'm sure always retain a feisty and reactionary edge, but also retain a lot of humour.

Hi Ian, apropos of your comments (bolded by me) - read how this thread went south in a hurry today! Still plenty of pretty aggressive posters. I like WB but find the aggressive edge unattractive.

Part of building up stocks in an underground bunker found at the in-laws place in Sydney. It was constructed as a nuclear bomb shelter in the 50s or 60s (I kid you not) and perfectly suited to wine storage. Father-in-law passed away recently so we will be spending more time there with mother-in-law so wine stocks essential.
