This wine sees 24 months new American Oak. This is apparent on the nose, where vanilla features prominently. However, there's a lot of dark plummy fruit lurking behind. There's also some lovely mocha, cloves and a hint of cinnamon.
The palate is soft and mouthfilling, with developed fruits and a wave of milk chocolate. There's moderate supporting tannins, and it finishes long and full.
Possibly at it's peak and unlikely to develop further.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Sounds very nice Allan, but I am surprised to hear that it might not develop any furthur, good vintage, old vines, and all that. I'm sure that there is a bottle of '95 Aberfeldy in Sydney; it's been in a back room for the past five years so probably needs drinking.
