Apropos Penfold's new release of the ultra premium "g3" wine, a blend of three Grange vintages, doesn't Burge Family Winemakers make a G3 wine, a blend of Shiraz, Grenache, and Mourvedre?

Robert Crabtree, when he was in charge of Crabtree wines did a three vintage Clare Cabernet...but far less of the wank factor...his wine was about $16 IIRC.

Fraser McKinley of Sami-Odi blends at least three year's of wines into his excellent "Little Wine", so we already have a multi-vintage Barossa shiraz

Re: The G3 Wines
I have had some of the 2002 Burge G3
A high ABV wine at 15.5% that does not show high alcholol at all drinking now
I took it to an offline a few years ago and it showed very well
When I saw the Penfolds thing I thought of this plagiarism too!

My goodness, is there no end to the number of G3 wines?
Re: The G3 Wines
Someone should sue Penfold's. That would bring them plenty of publicity!
