Equal parts of concentrated sweet red berry / dark cherry fruits and strong chalky tannins. The balance between the pure, dense fruit and strong tannins is remarkable. Nuances of Nebbiolo-like tar n' roses, spices, earth. Plenty of Etna smoky minerality too. Long intense finish. Very approachable now, but it will be even better in 5+ years once everything melds together more.
