Wow! What an amazing night. Thanks to everyone for the great line-up of wines and fantastic company. I had so much fun trying to guess what they all were.

The Wynns Centenary incident! What are the odds in an open theme? I don't think I've ever had two identical wines that were so different.

The Centenary incident was both highly improbable in terms of the same wine coming out and instructive in terms of the difference between the bottles. Proves the saying "no bottles of good old wine, just good old bottles. One, sadly was less than optimum, but the other, wow, I don't think I've had a more pristine, fresh Centenary, and I've had a few

Everything else was very interesting and fun to work through! First time for me and most others tasting a wine from Kangaroo Island, very enjoyable, and the Jack Mann, just a black impenetrable monster at 18 years of age! Thanks again.

The term Volcanic Tannins was coined last night (Patent Pending) which was a riot!
That Jack Mann.... no doubt that will outlast my lifetime. Stunning freshness, 18 year old but looked and
drank like a 5 year old. Pretty sure im still waiting for it to open up properly

Kangaroo Island Cab was so elegant and refined. First wine from there and a shame its not made anymore.

Kreglinger was a revelation! Very un-australian. Delicate and dry as a bone. Leeuwin was a shock as well. Still so young and fruit driven, not showing
any age and my one left will be kept at the back of the cellar for years.

Barolo... whats more that has to be said. Nose was so complex & interesting.

Those wynns... never picked either of them as coonawarra.

The Peter Lehmann had everyone floored as to how a barossa floor shiraz could be so restrained, elegant and floral Beautiful wine.

Popped my Marius cherry.... now if only Roger will put me on his list (hahahahah - i will have to apply first of course)

Hehehe! I still remember the CdP incident. But the Wynns incident took it to a whole new level. The CdP was just cork variation, whereas the Wynns was both cork and cellar variation.

Thanks everyone for a great night, with great wines and making me feel so welcome. The eclectic nature of the wines was only matched by the quality. Great to put some more faces to forum names. Yes, I will definitely let you know when I am in town next and will get the cassoulet!

The Sagrantino was a polarising wine (which I now understand if that was an 'approachable' example),

I thought the focus on the wines by the group caused by playing options with every wine was excellent, but I had to stop taking notes to keep up (though I think Diddy kept scribbling away). For me the wine of the night would have been between the LEAS, the Centenary (better-stored) and the Lehmann.

Great wines, great people, great night thanks!
