I didn't get that impression when talking with the winemaker..just that they're next door. They have some Wendouree like flavors as well....in fact, I'd almost say they were more Wendouree than some recent Wendourees.

Great Rieslings as well...and the winemaker has his own label, Some Young Punks...I actually quite like their Monsters Attack Riesling better than his Adelina ones...Low ph, high TA, 25+g/L RS...neutral barrique ferment...cool stuff...

Man, this month has killed me... WAY above budget. Wynns Black Label, Wendouree, Tyrrells, Langtons, Cullen...

Great wines but gee, the card is getting up there.

Apparently I was being provocative saying we'd both go long!

The number 3 has been my favourite of the line up in the past. Perhaps the best value wine in Australia when on sale. (And before I cop abuse, I reiterate 'perhaps').

sorry about that, I misinterpreted your response

3 cases? At 50% tax (compounded Duty + WET + GST)?

6 x 2015 Mount Mary Pinot Noir

Members Table release today - Halliday rated this 99. The Quintet and Chardonnay are rated at 97 by both Halliday and GW. Will surely sell out pretty soon.

Still much cheaper than Oz.... plus, much better range than the limited grower stuff down under

You don't pay Australian taxes if you don't live in Australia, which appears to be the case if you read Mychurch's posts.

Nice selection! I'm on a buying moratorium, so reading this threat is like an act of self flagellation.

On the plus side I am digging stuff out of the cellar I have bought in the last 7 years since moving to Melbourne. Very nice to check in on some of the wines.

There's a very good chance you'll get to try at least one of these at a future offline.
Why the buying moratorium? Have you run out of space in your cellar?

We must have similar cellars!

Importer putting 2012 Cappellano up for auction? What they go for?

Hi Jamie.

Don’t think it was an importer only 3 bottles of the 12’s were available.
I was the only bidder, paid $120 + 15%.

Hi Oz, I would say that it is a bit of a gamble with the green meanies in buying the 2004 Drouhin Chambertin. Good luck with it and I would not hold too long as most 2004 red burgs have aged pretty quickly. You might get lucky!

Thanks for the advice, Brodie. There's a very recent tasting note on CellarTracker singing its praises, so fingers crossed I got a good bottle.

A little of that and a little of up coming expenditure meaning I have to cut some spending.

I have some Hanlin Hill magnums and they are an awkward shape for the cellar, so I gave the PH magnums a miss. That said, bought a dozen of the 750s and a dozen 2017 Rieslingfreak #3.

Have you had any of the Louis Pato Reds?
Had a 10 year old Baga a couple of months ago and it was wonderful drinking.
