Brisbane Offline

Post by rens »

Hello Brisbane folks (and those further afield)

I was thinking it has been a while since the last off-line for those in the Sunshine State.
How about we schedule something for early August or if we can get our stuff together late July 2017?
We've been to Brent's the last four or five times so let me suggest we revisit Sprout in Auchenflower. The food is always good and the venue is pretty easy to access for most of the regulars.
As to the theme, I think I'll leave it open, so let call it 'to be determined'

Lets keep the numbers to bout a dozen or so. Over to you to register your interest.

Guys,

Joe Evans from Ballycroft will be in Brisbane on 22nd July. He's happy to bring his wines along for tasting.

Cheers

Was just thinking I should gauge interest in a Brisbane offline as I might be in Brisbane mid August and Rens has beaten me to the punch.

Won't be able to make July but if there is interest for a second offline mid August perhaps I could set something up once I know my movements. Have fun for this one though.

Do people want to reschedule for August?
It would appear that more people could come to an August offline.
Thoughts?....

Are we still doing this on Saturday night. Just need to book a room and tell Joe it's a goer.

Dave will more than likely attend as well.

Yes. Bugger it. Rather too many off-lines to attend than not enough.

Happy to bring an Aussie Chardy to go head-to-head with the French. What vintage/style are you bringing Nick?

Could bring something in lighter red style like a 2013 Spinnifex La Maline? Or head into Pinot territory.....2013 Hoddles 1er?

Cheers
