Don't shy away if you don't know much/anything about Italian wines. An offline is an awesome way to learn about new wine styles you haven't had exposure to before. If you're worried about where to buy a bottle to bring to the offline, our gracious host Gavin can supply many suitable Italian wines.

I do hope someone manages to slip in a Nero di Troia or at least a Castel del Monte (where it's often the lead). A very fine grape IMO.

Im really sorry about this. My wife had booked a secret week away and didnt confess till now (she saw my wine dinner entry on
the calendar).
Even worse is I had already sourced the bottles I was going to bring and was really looking forward too this night (I dont have a lot of experience with Italian grapes, so was especially keen)

Any Vic's (or interstaters in Melb on the 7th) thinking of putting their hand up, please just do it. It is a wonderful evening, full of laughs and friendly banter. Everyone shares their knowledge and experience and its a truly memorable evening. You will not be disappointed, I promise you.
