Nothing yet but gun locked and loaded on an Oban 14 YO SMW and an Aberlour 12 YO Double Cask SMW. If you are interested in an entry level SMW try the Aberlour. At around $70 it's great shit!

I remember the old 10 YO Aberlour well from when I was buying mixed dozens of Orlando wines to get a free one (around 27 years ago now). I guess that's where my adventure with wine really began (well at least legally). :P

The 12YO Double Cask was being discounted a lot here leading up to Christmas, I got a couple of bottles around the $50 mark. I think it's a solid wine as an entry level SMW, but doesn't seem to have the smoky magic of that old 10YO. Talisker 10YO on the other hand seems to do the trick now.

We're talking about whisky, right?

Also, I'm moving to Australia next month. Keen to share the Foillards and Lapierre listed above at an offline. Are you up for one, Ian?

I tried it at the winery and it struck me as a tad disjointed but with all the elements to become great in time. I think you'll like the oak in it. I'm hoping to get back to see Laurent in April

Under Diam now not cork and I will return them if premoxed. I tasted these wines a couple of weeks ago at Prince in Melb and they were bloody good indeed. Bouchard said they want to know about premoxed bottles and encouraged folks to bring em bac to the retailer. we will see...
