Mmm, I will probably bring a white burg. Maybe a 2009 Olivier Leflaive Les Pucelles and then a backup to be opened in the event of premox/TCA.

I wont know if I'm needed to go away for business until literally like a day before, so in the spirit of things, i'll give up my 2 spots to others who have more chance of attending than me.

Deejay has pulled out. If you have a nice village wine are you still up for it?

Oh for an aged cellar. Old Burg rocks, so that's probably the WOTN sorted right there. Thanks RS!

Not sure what I'm bringing yet, but will be a white and a red.

I don't know if I will be able to go until probably a few days before...

If I go I'm not sure what I'm bringing...Chablis counting as Burgundy?

Hi Mark

I have someone else to fill one of the free spots. Can you add Len to the attendee list please?

Thanks

Good crew!! I'm very happy with 11 people if Polymer can make it (given he's now living in Switzerland - would hate to exclude an opportunity to catch up). Most people bring 2 bottles (even though 1 is fine), so plenty of wine and 10 or 11 people doesn't really make much difference in terms of pour size. But as I always say, it's up to the organiser, gotta have a limit somewhere!

It really depends on what you were thinking of bringing. Can't have you turning up with village wines from 2007 you know old boy.

Do we have a booking yet Mark?

I note they do not allow Sparkling wine/champagne as part of their BYO.... Hacker will not be pleased. And neither will we.

If someone had wanted to bring Champagne, maybe we could try to negotiate a higher BYO charge just for that bottle to appease them? It's such a weird policy.

Looks like I'm likely to go so I'm assuming my spot is still there...but according to the list I'm on reserves so we're doing 11 if no one drops?

Yes the booking details were up dated on the first post so it's all confirmed. At this stage it's still 10, I will give them a call tomorrow to see the champagne point which is rather bizarre. I'm reluctant to increase it to 11 as we always get a last minute drop out. Let's see what happens.

I'm sure they would have no issues taking the booking up to 11 if no one drops out, and given Polymer has to plan his week (and wines) can I suggest we confirm that he can come even if no one drops out? He's travelled from Switzerland just to drink Burgundy with us!

Was planning as red and white. Didn't think about a bubbly, but if Mark can get them to accept a bubbly then that's what I will bring

Happy either way but we will probably be fine without bubbly, I'd rather have the chance to try more Burgundy! I can always blow bubbles into my white burg.

Also are we doing the whole table as the full dego? For me that is too much food but I appreciate I'm a light eater and happy to go with it if it's a necessary package deal

I'm happy increasing to 11. The only reason for not doing it yet was the last two offlines we had several last minute cancellations. Stay in and I can increase to 11.
