Got an old Saint-Julien and a Sauternes lined up so far, three bottles is prob too much but might bring a 'backup' just in case!

I might fulfill the currently unassigned Champagne duties, nothing in my cellar is jumping out at me with the exception of a couple of Sauternes but I see Tim has beaten me to it on that front.

So we've got a week left till this one, and will need to start confirming numbers.
The private space is for a minimum 10 people. We've got 11 on our list so far, so if we can just confirm if you can come or not, that would be awesome, and if you know what you want to bring then put that down too.

Getting thirsty!

I will bring a 1986 Grand-Puy Ducasse. Label has virtually fully deteriorated. Had to peel away the foil to find the vintage. Must have been an auction purchase many moons ago. This could be touch and go. Also a 2001 Pontet Canet - label fully intact and lovingly cellared since vintage.

The standard of 'Champagne duties' is very high, don't let the team down! :)

Nice one guys,

Just waiting on BtB and Michelle's confirmation, then we have 11.

There's room for 1 more if anyone else is interested or if anyone else wants to bring a friend/partner/wife etc...

So we're ready to go for tomorrow!! :)

Lauren and I had a 2003 Pape Clement last night and this was very nice.
Splash decanted and had it aired for about 2 hours. So smooth, cork was perfect, and was very much in its secondary stage with dark fruit on the back of soy sauce, tea leaves, mushroom, bit of barnyard/animal and quite a bit of minerality.

Vinh, looking forward to the 03 Poyferre.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a great night! I've asked for some decanters and they'll also provide glasses if people need additional glasses.

Hi guys,

Looks like the delivery time for my Calon Segur 07 will be this Friday 15/4/16. I may not be able get that to the tasting. I might bring other Bordeaux red or Australian Cab as back up plan. :-(

Audouzeing my bottles this morning. Cork's all look in great shape.
Decided to also bring a 2010 Gloria, something young to see what its like.

@mse, if you can't bring your Calon, see if you can bring another Bordeaux, as that's the theme.
If you want to bring another Aussie cab, then feel free to bring that too as backup or secondary bottle ;)

My Grand-Puy's cork was raised about 2mm above the bottle, but no leaking. A very small taste revealed a lot of acid and a metallic taste. But never fear, the last time I opened something like this it turned from ugly duckling into beautiful swan. Fingers crossed for tonight.

Hi Bob, it's actually Dan Murphy's delivery. Was worried that the wine could not make it. It's a relieve now.

Guys, sorry but I am going to have to pull out last minute. I often get migraines, and I am getting a bad one now. Never fear though, I was able to make it to Rocket (it is only a 5 min drive) and I left my two wines for you to enjoy. I did take out a sneaky pour of each so I can see what I am missing. Rocket knows we are one man down.

Had a quick taste of the 1986 Grand-Puy. Guys, don't bother :x
The PC is ok though. But give me a Moss Wood any day.

David
The 86 grand-puy was fantastic
One of my favourites of the night, and the pontet was just ad good
Incredibly generous of you delivering those wines under the circumstances
Thank you so much, we owe you big time for that act of generosity
Completely unnecessary but incredibly appreciated
Hope you wake up with a much better feeling head
